Water testing

We measure first, then recommend

Sydney's mains water is treated and safe to drink, but taste, hardness and pipe condition vary from street to street. Tank water varies even more. A quick onsite test shows what filtration will actually make a difference, so you don't pay for stages you don't need.

We compare results against the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and explain them in plain English.

Questions

Common questions

Is Sydney tap water unsafe to drink?

No. Sydney's mains water is treated to meet national guidelines. Filtration is mainly about taste, smell, scale and sediment from older pipes. For tank water, treatment can matter more, and testing tells us what's needed.

Which system do I need?

It depends on your water and what bothers you. Many homes only need an under-sink filter for drinking water. If scale or chlorine in the shower is the issue, a whole-house system makes more sense. The onsite test is how we work it out.

How often do filters need changing?

It varies by system and water use. Most cartridges are changed every 6 to 12 months. We'll tell you the schedule for your system at installation.

Do you work with renters or strata?

Yes. Under-sink systems are a good fit for apartments. If you're renting, you'll need your landlord's or strata's approval for plumbing changes, and we can provide details to help with that.
